A-Z Blogging for April

OK... so Lois over at The Eco-Grandma talked me into doing this crazy A-Z challenge thing.

The idea is that you post every day in April (except Sundays) and each day you do a post for a different letter of the alphabet. Some people are choosing a theme, but I think A-Z randomness is plenty of challenge for me!

Seriously... I sorta can't believe I'm doing this. I mean, this is me we're talking about here - the girl who hates rules and can't do anything... I mean ANYTHING with much consistency.

And I guess that's sorta the point. You're supposed to keep your posts short (and we all know that I suck at brevity too) so I'm hoping that I can use this as a way to get into the habit of posting more frequently, and perhaps making each post less of a big deal.

I do have to admit that the whole thing has this little ditty running through my brain ad nauseum. Apologies to anyone who wasn't raised on Sesame Street, or who doesn't have a weird thing for schmaltzy 1940's pop songs.

Anyhow, there's still time to sign up if anyone wants to join me for a venture into insanity.

C'mon! It'll be fun!!!!

    1. Yes, but you're one of those bloggers who actually writes well thought out and researched posts! We'll have to see how I fare... I'm sorta imaging posts like "D is for Don't have a Clue what to Write About"

It might be fun. I'll think about it. But I'm not signing up!

  4. I talked you into it ha? :-) Well, I'm looking forward to having you in this madness with me. Hmm I didn't see the note that we were supposed to keep things short, I tend to ramble so maybe this will be an even bigger challenge than I thought.

    1. OK... "inspired" might have been a better word choice... I think I talked myself into it!

I don't think brevity was a requirement, they were just giving suggestions on how not to lose people! :-)

  5. I'll be joining you and Lois in the A to Z challenge. I have a lot going on right now, so my blogging is getting few and far between. We'll see if this gets me back in the swing of things. Don't be surprised if you also see me doing a D is for "Don't have anything to write about."

    2. Ha! Well, now, Debbie's all done and April hasn't even started yet! Guess we have a fallback position if we can't think of anything!

And L&L, I'm thrilled you'll be doing it too. Insanity is sooo much more fun when it's shared! :-)

  6. Ah, the beauty of not being a blogger is that I can just enjoy everyone's hard work and comment (or not!) as the mood strikes. This sounds silly-fun and I could use a little more silliness in my life.

    1. Me Too!!! Let's just hope for all our sakes that I don't go off the silliness deep end. I could see this getting out of hand rather quickly. :-)

    2. Kris- I echo your sentiments about being a non-blogger! Also about needing more silliness : )
ECL - Spring seems like a good time to go off the deep end and get out of hand!!

    3. Your vote for silliness has been duly logged. You may live to regret this. :-)

I welcome your thoughts so please leave me a comment and I promise I will respond.

On older posts I've had to enable comment moderation to prevent spammers, so don't worry if your comment doesn't show up right away - unless you're just commenting for the sake of embedding a link, in which case I really wish you wouldn't waste your time or mine because I'll just delete it.

Thanks, and have a fabulous day!
